List of Igbo Musicians Who Are in Support of Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu

Biafra is Our religion and to restore Biafra is heavens mandate, and a promise to the children of light. 

Many Igbo musicians, especially the highlife singers has taken it upon themselves to preach the gospel of the Restoration of Biafra under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu , through creation of “awareness” with music.

Within the last few years (2019 -2021), Igbo highlife musicians have put in much efforts in support of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his movement to restore Biafra and to save the lives of indigenous people.

Their support is not only to restore Biafra, but also to unite our people ,and to make them love one another.

1. Agbalanze Onyeka Okeke 

The man, Agbalanze Onyeka Okeke is a hardcore BIAFRAN. He has done everything that music can possibly do to preach the gospel of Biafra and to encourage the leader, Nnamdi Okwu Kanu.

He released many tracks about Biafra such as Biafra Bu Anyike, Ohamadike Biafra which he dedicated to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Egwu Eke in mourning those killed by the Nigerian army during Operation python dance.

2. Aruvaluezeama Nwa Nteje 

AruvaluezeAma Nwa Nteje is regarded by many, as the Living Ozoemena Nsugbe because of his styles of performance which is exactly same as that of Late Ozoemena Nsugbe.

Aruvaluezeama refers to Nnamdi Kanu as a prophet and savior of the people. He is a preacher of Biafra, and a lover of the Igbo culture.

In many of his songs, he talked about Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and the Igbo people.

3. Ikem Mazeli Material

Ikem Mazeli, Material Onyenwe Egwu is a top level highlife singer. Therefore we cannot talk about those who has contributed to this very movement of Biafra without mentioning Ikem Mazeli.

In 2020, Ikem Mazeli released an album titled IFUNANYA. The music was totally dedicated to Biafrans, urging all Igbos to love one another and also unite as one.

4. Onyeoma Tochukwu Nnamani

Onyeoma Tochukwu Nnamani,  a veteran highlife singer from Nkanu in Enugu state, was the first musician to send a welcome greeting to Nnamdi Kanu when he arrived to Nigeria.

In the song, He titled it Nnamdi Kanu Nno Ije, he also released many more songs in respect to all Igbo Biafrans living abroad , such as Chukwu Umu Biafra and others.

5. Otigba Nwa Muddy Ibeh  

Otigba Nwa Muddy Ibeh , also known as Omekannaya Onye Oba Na Idemili is the son of the late Chief Captain Muddy Ibeh Akataka.

Otigba is a hardcore supporter of Biafra, and a follower of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. In one of his recent tracks dedicated to the Igbo people, he gave accolades to the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), NNAMDI KANU. He titled it Umu Igbo Ka Anyi Tete Na Ula.

6. Chief Sunny Kampala 

Chief Sunny Kampala, De music master and his destiny band of Africa in his recent track titled Biafra, calls upon the leaders of the indigenous people, governors and senators to interfere and assist Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. 

Sunny Kampala calls On Enyinnaya Abaribe, Ugwuanyi, Peter Obi, Willie Obiano, Ikekwere Mmadu, and Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to join hands in this struggle for freedom.

He also emphasized that Igbos are decendants of Israel and that we are God's chosen.

7. Umu Obieze (Five Blind men) 

Umu Obieze is a stage name given to the Five blind men from the east who are musically talented. They have have performed on many occasions mostly a “wake-up” cry for the Igbo people.

The five blind men have over the years preached Biafra through their music.

8. Ijele of Africa (Flavour)

Last but not the least is Mr flavour,  Ijele one of Africa.

Flavour has demonstrated that he is a real and hardcore Biafra supporter. In his recent album,  he dedicated a track to all IGBOS and to the recognized leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. 

His message was clear through the music titled Umu Igbo, as he pleaded with all IGBOS to come together for we are ONE.
