After living for eight centuries, dating back to the era of Henry Rook, the legendary ancestor Ethan Stone finally leaves his secluded mountain life for one unexpected reason—to marry Sofia Grant. But his arrival quickly turns chaotic when a cunning con man is mistakenly identified as the famous ancestor, while the real Ethan is dismissed as an ordinary man.
When Sofia finds herself in danger, Ethan steps forward and saves her, revealing abilities far beyond anything she imagined. Grateful for his courage and drawn to his mysterious nature, Sofia gradually falls in love with him. Yet when Ethan claims to be the true eight-hundred-year-old ancestor, everyone laughs off his words as a ridiculous lie.

Everything changes when Simon Stone arrives and confirms Ethan’s identity, exposing the impostor and silencing the doubters. Furious at Ethan’s rise, Aiden Hayes challenges him, expecting an easy victory. Instead, Ethan effortlessly defeats him, leaving Aiden imprisoned and his reputation shattered.

With the truth finally revealed and their enemies dealt with, Ethan and Sofia put the chaos behind them. After centuries of solitude, the ancient ancestor finally finds the one thing he never expected—love and a peaceful life with Sofia.
