After returning from a routine prenatal appointment, Evelyn is devastated to discover her husband, Edward, tenderly rubbing oil onto the belly of his first love. When Evelyn experiences a dangerous allergic reaction, Edward cruelly confines her to a room instead of getting her medical help, leaving her to suffer until she loses their unborn child. Heartbroken by his betrayal and unable to forgive his unforgivable neglect, Evelyn ends their marriage and begins rebuilding her life at her friend’s architecture firm. For months, she focuses on her career and healing from the trauma Edward caused. But their past catches up with her when Edward finds her at the love-lock bridge where they once promised to love each other forever. Desperate for another chance, he threatens to jump unless she forgives him. Now Evelyn faces an agonizing choice: save the man whose actions shattered her world, or finally let go of the love that nearly destroyed her.
