A refreshing collaboration between two of Nigeria's most recognizable contemporary music talents comes to life as award-winning rapper and songwriter Blaqbonez teams up with Afrobeats and Dancehall sensation Ruger on an exciting song titled “Justina.” Featured as the twelfth track on Blaqbonez's fourth studio album, “NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME,” the record brings together two distinctive musical personalities, adding another compelling collaboration to the rapper's latest body of work.
With “Justina,” Blaqbonez introduces a female-inspired title that creates an intriguing setting for a song associated with romance, attraction, and modern relationships. The name gives the record a personal character, making it a fitting addition to the Nigerian music scene, where storytelling about love, affection, and romantic experiences continues to resonate with audiences.
The involvement of Ruger adds considerable appeal to the collaboration. Known for his unmistakable vocal delivery, confident personality, and ability to combine Afrobeats with Jamaican Dancehall influences, Ruger has established himself as a prominent voice in contemporary African music. His participation brings a contrasting artistic identity to Blaqbonez's rap background, creating an interesting partnership between two performers celebrated for their individuality.
For Blaqbonez, working with Ruger represents another example of his willingness to explore musical territory beyond conventional Hip-Hop. The Chocolate City-associated rapper has consistently embraced creative experimentation, combining witty lyrical expression with contemporary African sounds. His versatility allows him to collaborate with singers from different genres while maintaining the personality that has defined his musical career.
“Justina” contributes to the broader musical diversity of “NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME,” an album influenced by Nigerian Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Afro-Pop, and Afro-fusion. The collaboration reflects the growing relationship between rap and melodic African popular music, where artists increasingly combine their individual strengths to create records that appeal to different audiences.
Appearing as Track 12 on the 15-song project, “Justina” follows “FYP” featuring Monochrome and precedes “Sample Ekwe.” Its position places it within the album's final section, where Blaqbonez continues to explore different creative expressions before concluding the project with “Finesse You” featuring Tml Vibez.
The song also forms part of an impressive collection of collaborations on NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME. Alongside Ruger, the album features contributions from Asake, Igwe Aka, Monochrome, and Tml Vibez, bringing together established and emerging voices from Nigeria's contemporary entertainment industry.
Beyond its collaborative appeal, “Justina” highlights the creative flexibility that has helped Blaqbonez build a distinctive reputation within African Hip-Hop. By connecting his rap identity with Ruger's Dancehall-influenced musical background, the record adds another dimension to an album that celebrates experimentation, confidence, and artistic individuality.
For fans of Naija Music, Nigerian Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall, Afro-fusion, and contemporary African music collaborations, “Justina” is a noteworthy selection from Blaqbonez's latest project.
