The track was released on August 21, 2025, under Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. Jealous Type features creative input from top producers and songwriters including Ari Starace, Jack Antonoff, and Y2K, with additional contributions from saxophonists Zem Audu and Evan Smith. Mixing was handled by Serban Ghenea, while mastering came from Ruairi O'Flaherty, further giving the track its polished global sound.
