The party atmosphere returns on “Beer,” the twelfth track on Harmonize's 31 album, as the Tanzanian Bongo Flava star teams up with Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy. The collaboration brings together two artists from different sides of the continent, combining Harmonize's melodic approach with Stonebwoy's energetic Afro-dancehall presence.
Built around the simple pleasure of drinking and enjoying the moment, “Beer” carries a carefree, social character. Rather than leaning into the emotional relationship themes heard across several earlier songs on the album, Harmonize and Stonebwoy create a record designed around letting loose, sharing good times and temporarily putting everyday worries aside.
Stonebwoy's contribution gives the track an additional burst of energy, complementing Harmonize's Swahili-led delivery with his distinctive Ghanaian sound. The combination makes “Beer” one of the more outwardly celebratory collaborations on 31, while still maintaining the African rhythmic foundation that connects the two performers.
The production moves at approximately 112 BPM, giving the song a lively pace suited to parties, social gatherings and late-night playlists. With a runtime of around 2:41, the arrangement remains compact and direct, allowing the central theme and infectious groove to carry the record.
Positioned after “Isondeze” featuring Qing Madi, “Beer” changes the mood once again as 31 approaches its closing stretch.
