    This style of music is been considered as a modern genre of music from the South-Eastern part of the country that combines Igbo traditional music and highlife style. This genre of music is used to teach the society many things happening around us through its stories and sometimes fictions.

    As modern day highlife is Concerned, AYAKA OZUBULU remains the best.. My reason for chossing him is that he is original and creative. He doesn’t use beats of other highlife artists most esp that of the legends in the industry. He doesn’t repeat his beats or same line of story. His stories are basically what is happening in our modern day which are found within our locality. He has a nice highlife voice.
